The monitor without a cage is quite vulnerable, so if you want to make sure it's safe when dropped, equip it with the cage. Monitor cages are mostly about protection, however, we added a few 1/4" mounting points and built-in NATO rails to make the cage extendable. The included sunshade is detachable and foldable, so you can have it in your camera bag at all times and use it when needed. 8Sinn sunhood is compatible with 8Sinn cages for Ninja V and Shinobi monitors only.
